What is a volcano?
A volcano is an opening in the earths crust that allows Lava, volcanic ash, Sulfur and other harmful chemicals to get out.
How are volcanoes formed?
The crust is made up like a puzzle piece in the earth so they are separated and always moving. Friction between the plates causes rocks beneath it to turn to magma and will come out through the spaces in the plates after they had just collided. After magma comes out of the earth it is then called Lava (National geographic).
H0w are volcanoes good for us?
- The movement in the making of a volcano is the plates shifting because of the bubbling mantle underneath it. The plates are always moving so there are hundreds of earthquakes around the world everyday, we just can't feel them.
